Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy sets out how Draftpe handles refunds, cancellations, and failed payments for subscriptions and paid features purchased through our website.

1. Nature of service

Draftpe supplies digital access to AI-assisted document drafting tools and downloadable or viewable outputs. Unless expressly stated otherwise, deliverables are provided electronically; there is no physical shipment from Draftpe.

2. Free tier

If you use a free tier or trial, you may stop using the service at any time without charge. No refund applies because no fee was collected.

3. Paid subscriptions and renewals

  • Paid plans are billed in Indian Rupees (INR) through Razorpay as described on the pricing and checkout screens at the time of purchase.
  • Unless we clearly advertise otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically for each billing period until you cancel before the renewal date in your account settings or by emailing us.
  • When you cancel, you retain access until the end of the current paid period; we do not refund fees already paid for that period except where mandated by law or covered under section 5 below.

4. Cancellation by you

You may cancel renewal through the account controls we provide or by writing to contact@draftpe.com from your registered email. Cancellation stops future charges only; it does not delete invoices already issued for completed billing periods unless a refund is approved under this policy.

5. Refunds

  • Duplicate or erroneous charges: If you were charged twice for the same subscription period, or if the amount charged clearly differs from the price shown at checkout, contact us within 7 days with proof of charge. After verification, we will initiate a refund or credit, usually within 7–10 business days, subject to Razorpay and banking timelines.
  • Failed access after successful payment: If payment succeeded but you could not access paid features due to a fault on our side, we will first attempt to restore access. If that is not possible within a reasonable time, you may request a refund within 7 days of the payment; we will review server logs and Razorpay references before approving.
  • Change of mind: Because digital services begin immediately after activation, refunds for “change of mind” are generally not provided once paid features have been used (for example generating a paid document or exporting). Unused periods may be considered on a case-by-case basis where required by applicable consumer rules.
  • Chargebacks: Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank so we can resolve the issue quickly. Unwarranted chargebacks may lead to account suspension.

6. Failed or reversed payments

If Razorpay or your bank reverses a payment, we may suspend paid features until a valid payment is received. Any fees imposed by payment networks may be passed through where permitted by law.

7. Taxes

Displayed prices may be inclusive or exclusive of GST as shown at checkout. Refunds, when approved, are processed for the net amount received by us after payment partner fees, in line with Razorpay settlement rules.

8. How to request a refund

Email contact@draftpe.com with your registered email, Razorpay payment ID (if available), date of transaction, and a short description of the issue. We aim to respond within 3 business days.
